Apr 20, 2011 (newstodate): Today marks the the Entry-Into-Service of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.
Delayed by some two years, the Armenian carrier Armavia has taken delivery of the first production aircraft that will perform its first commercial flight today from Yerevan to Moscow.
Armavia will take delivery of a second Superjet in 2011, and the next production aircraft will be delivered to Aeroflot and to Yakutia that have ordered 30 and two aircraft, respectively.
Sukhoi expects to deliver a total of 13 Superjet 100 aircraft in 2011 of the 169 aircraft so far ordered by 13 customers among airlines and aircraft leasing companies.
