Apr 12, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Aeroflot has now no less than 70 Airbus A320 Family aircraft in its fleet.
The latest delivery in the form of the 37th Airbus A320 aircraft took place on Monday, April 11, 2011, and it is acquired on a lease arrangement with BOC Aviation Ireland.
Aeroflot received its first Airbus A330 by the end of 2008 and now operates 10 aircraft of this type.
In July, 2010, Aeroflot placed firm orders for another 11 A330-300, and in 2007 Aeroflot also placed orders for delivery of 22 Airbus A350 aircraft, to arrive in the fleet from 2018.
When all known orders have been fulfilled, Aeroflot will have 129 Airbus aircraft in its fleet, compared to 40 Boeing aircraft.
