Mar 01, 2011 (newstodate): American Airlines Cargo has appointed a new and exclusive General Sales and Service Agent in Scandinavia and Finland.
Effective from March 1, 2011, AA Cargo will be represented by North Air Logistics providing the US carrier with full cargo sales, marketing and customer service activities across the Nordic region.
The new GSSA agreement concurs with the forthcoming launch of services to Finlands capital, Helsinki from May 1, 2011, when the carrier will commence daily direct Boeing 767-300 services between Helsinki and Chicago.
The addition of a Finnish hub will complement American Airlines' existing European hubs in Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
Managed by Henrik Spove as Air Logistics Group Regional Director Scandinavia and Finland, North Air Logistics has offices with a total of 18 staff in Copenhagen, Helsinki and Stockholm, and the company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the French Air Logistics Group.
