Mar 15, 2011 (newstodate): The Ukrainean carrier Aerosvit is building up its long-haul fleet with more Boeing 767 aircraft.
Aerosvit has signed long-term operational leasing contracts for two more Boeing 767-300ER aircraft that have now been delivered, bringing the total to six of this type.
The new aircraft will allow Aerosvit to increase frequencies on long-haul flights during the summer season, and in the next winter schedule are plans for flights to new destinations in Asia, including Colombo, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City.
In the first half of 2012, Boeing will start deliveries of the first of seven Boeing 737-800 aircraft ordered in 2007, and in December 2010, AeroSvit and Boeing signed a contract covering technical, training and marketing support to AeroSvit that will introduce four Boeing 737-900ER aircraft in 2013-1014, also acquired on an operational lease contract.
Aerosvit will become the first Boeing 737-900ER operator in Eastern Europe.
