Mar 09, 2011 (newstodate): The Board of the Tajik carrier Somon Air has approved plans for the acquisition of Boeing 737-300 aircraft for conversion to freighters.
In the plans are up to four Boeing 737-300 aircraft to be delivered between 2011 and 2014.
The delivery of the converted freighters will enable the carrier to launch flights on new routes already before the end of this year, including cargo flights to Frankfurt Hahn in Germany and to destinations in the CIS region and China.
