Mar 28, 2011 (newstodate): Korean Air Cargo is now online with freighter flights from Seoul, South Korea, to St Petersburg, Russia.
The carrier has introduced two weekly Boeing 747-400F flights on the route in order to grab its share of the burgeoning trade between the two markets, flying back to Korea from Frankfurt.
Korean Air Cargo has thus become the second Korean carrier to offer freighter flights on the route, following on the launch by Asiana Cargo on December 6, 2010, of a similar service.
Asiana Cargo thus operates once weekly from Seoul to St Petersburg, continuing to Vienna and calling at Gothenburg, Sweden, on the eastbound return trip to Seoul Incheon Airport.
