Mar 15, 2011 (newstodate): Starting out from a low base, Air Moldova is seeing its cargo and mail traffic growing substantially.
In January 2011 the carrier lifted a total of 95 tonnes, an increase by 40 percent, y-o-y, following on January's 73 tonnes that was also a growth by 20 percent.
In 2010 the carrier transported a total of 1,011 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 36 percent, y-o-y.
Air Moldova, based at Chisinau International Airport, operates flights to 17 destinations, Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaka, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Moscow, St Petersburg, Munich, and Kiev.
In the fleet are three Airbus A320, one Embraer 120 and one Embraer 190 aircraft.
