Mar 10, 2011 (newstodate): The Gulf carrier Qatar Airways has announced its decision to launch flights on a new route to Bulgaria from this autumn.
Effective from September 14, 2011, the carrier will offer four weekly rotations on the route between Doha and Sofia, using Airbus A319 aircraft on the route.
This marks another step in the expanding airline's strategy for Central and Eastern Europe, following on the the opening of flights four times weekly from Doha to Bucharest, Romania, and Budapest in Hungary by the start of this year.
