Mar 08, 2011 (newstodate): Estonian Air is working on its new business plan, but does not foresee any major changes against the existing business model.
-The Estonian market is rather small and it is not growing. As we have to grow with the market we are basically aiming at fine-tuning our existing services, adjusting our service offers and keeping a watchful eye on new openings, says Andrus Aljas, Estonian Air CEO.
-The new business plan is more or less settled already, but we will still have to wait for the final confirmation by our owners, which will require a bit more time due to the recent elections here in Estonia.
-What is sure is that we will increase frequencies on a number of routes already served during the coming summer schedule, and we are increasingly seeing the benefits from operating our new Bombardier aircraft. There has of course been some teething-troubles as is always the case when introducing a new aircraft type, but the reception in the market has been very positive.
-So after all I expect to be able soon to go more into details with the new business plan. But don't expect too many novelties, says Mr Aljas.
