Mar 07, 2011 (newstodate): The Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian is now preparing to enter the Finnish domestic flights market.
Effective from March 31, 2011, the carrier will launch flights from Helsinki, Finland, to Oulu and Rovaniemi, in Northern Finland.
The new flights will further increase competition in the country's domestic air travel market already provided by Finnair, Blue1, Finncomm, and Latvia's airBaltic that has built Oulu into a Finnish sub-hub with flights to Riga, Turku, Stockholm (in summer), and Tallinn (in summer), and planning to increase this offering to 10-15 direct flights from Oulu.
