Mar 30, 2011 (newstodate): New Russian operator of the Airbus A320 aircraft will be UTAir, according to industry sources.
While still not officially confirmed, the carrier has been negotiating with Airbus for delivery of a total of 40 Airbus A320 aircraft, to be delivered from 2011 till 2014.
UTAir is also said to have secured more then 10 additional options for the A320.
If confirmed, the new aircraft will be the first Airbus aircraft operated by UTAir that currently has a fleet comprising 177 aircraft including Bombardier and Boeing aircraft.
