Feb 02, 2011 (newstodate): The Anglo-Swedish regional cargo airline, West Atlantic has entered into a long-term arrangement with major international engine maintenance operation Standard Aero for the support of 82 Pratt & Whitney Canada PW126/A engines, flown on its BAe ATP fleet.
The agreement involves engine overhaul and field support, in addition to
technical expertise, to facilitate the development of West Atlantic's own
internal capabilities of ensuring basic engine sustainability requirements.
West Atlantic currently operates a fleet comprising one Boeing 737-300, six Lockheed Electra, one ATR-72, 33 BAe ATP, two Bombardier CRJ-200-PF and one Bombardier Q400-F.
