Feb 22, 2011 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines Maintenance Center - Turkish Technic - has aired plans to enter the Russian market.
The company is seeing revenues from external customers growing from 10 percent in 2004 to over 25 percent in 2010, and further growth is targeted.
Among Turkish Technics' customers in Russia are Orenair and Sky Express, and talks are being conducted with S7 Sibir Airlines.
The company is also servicing aircraft from several airlines in the CIS region, and plans are to set up an aircraft maintenance facility in Russia, rather than flying aircraft from the CIS region into Turkey for maintenance.
Turkish Technic already has service facilities in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in Kabul, Afghanistan, and in Baghdad, Iraq.
