Feb 16, 2011 (newstodate): The Danish Transport Authority will meet tomorrow with representatives from Copenhagen Airport's security organization to seek grounds for a final solution to the long-outstanding issues around on-airport cargo transportation to passenger aircraft.
-The meeting will assess the process so far in the dialogue between the airport and its users, primarily the handling companies and the airlines, says Kjeld Zlow, Danish Transport Authority's head of aviation security.
-The outcome of this meeting will establish if a meeting will be called on Monday with participation of all interested parties, with the Danish Transport Authority as the mediator.
-We, as the Danish Transport Authority, are willing to take this initiative to bring the parties together. We will detail the EU requirements pertaining to the issues and encourage the stakeholders to reach a joint stand and a viable solution that can be approved by Danish Transport Authority without too much further delay, says Mr Zlow.
Without reaching a solution, the issue has been on the agenda for more than one year with several twists and turns.
