Feb 17, 2011 (newstodate): SAS is leaving the route between Copenhagen, Denmark, and Kiev, in Ukraine from March 25, 2011.
The carrier is currently serving the route with three weekly rotations, but increased competition from the Ukrainean carrier AeroSvit has make SAS re-think its strategy.
AeroSvit has been operating daily flights to Copenhagen since October 31, 2010, but plans to increase its offering to 10 weekly rotations from March 25, 2011 - the same as SAS leaves the scene.
SAS first entered the Ukrainean market in 1992, but suspended flights from Copenhagen in 1995, returning again from summer 2008.
