Feb 04, 2011 (newstodate): The Sukhoi Superjet 100 has now received its Type Certificate by the Russian Certification Authority, IAC AR.
The Type Certificate confirms compliance of the SSJ100 with the airworthiness regulations and it authorizes the commercial operation of the airplane.
The certification campaign incorporated approximately 200 programs of static, fatigue and flight tests. The flight campaign included 25 programs of special tests within the SSJ100 operational range.
The EASA certification is expected to follow in 2011.
So far the new aircraft has landed orders for 170 deliveries, including 30 for Aeroflot, two for Armavia, 10 for Yakutia Airlines, 24 for UTAir, 30 for Kartika, an Indonesian carrier, 30 for the leasing company Pearl Aircraft, and six for Willis Lease.
Sukhoi plans to deliver 11 Superjet aircraft in 2011, with production going up to 40-50 units annually in a few years.
