Feb 03, 2011 (newstodate): Oslo Gardermoen has now adjusted its cargo statistics from 2010, turning earlier red growth figures into the black.
-Having now obtained the full and correct data from the cargo handling companies and airlines, we can report a total of 86,989 tonnes of cargo and mail in 2010, which is a growth by 10.6 percent over 2009, says Knut Stabak, Oslo Gardermoen Airport Manager Traffic Development.
-Totals in 2010 include 60,761 tonnes of cargo and 26,238 tonnes of mail shipments, says Mr Stabak.
In the official cargo statistics for 2010, now removed from the airport's website, volumes in 2010 were down 10 percent, y-o-y, to 70,011 tonnes, cargo and mail included.
The discrepancy between the two statistics reportedly refer to the fact that earlier incomplete figures did not include significant volumes from certain carriers, including Thai International that alone lifted around 10,000 of cargo, primarily Norwegian salmon exports, from Oslo Gardermoen in 2010.
