Feb 25, 2011 (newstodate): Delays to the Boeing 787 Dreamliner program have postponed first deliveries several times - now slated to start by Q3 in 2011.
The delays have also hit the Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian that in November 2010 announced its decision to acquire two Boeing 787-800 aircraft in a lease contract with IFLC for delivery by autumn 2012.
The aircraft plans to launch intercontinental flights to New York and Bangkok.
These plans have now been rescheduled with launch of operations expected from early 2013.
Besides the two firm orders, Norwegian also holds options for a further six aircraft.
