Feb 25, 2011 (newstodate): Damco, the combined brand of Denmark's A.P. Moller - Maersk Group's logistics activities, saw its air cargo volumes up in 2010.
The company handled a total of 75,000 tonnes of air cargo against 60,000 tonnes in 2009 - an increase by 25 percent in the competitive market.
In 2010 the company also increased its focus on air cargo by naming new top executives to spearhead the development.
Topping Damco's airfreight activities is Remo Eigenmann, since March 2010 new Head of Airfreight, with Ricardo van Duijkeren as new Head of Airfreight for Europe from February 1, 2011, Serge Tripet as Global Head of Sea-Air Product since June 1, 2010, Erez Agmonias as Regional Airfreight Manager in Asia Pacific since October 2010, and Claus Aagaard as Global Head of Aid & Relief from September 1, 2010
