Feb 14, 2011 (newstodate): The Belarus Minsk National Airport had its share in the general global air cargo upturn in 2010.
The airport handled a total of 8,553 tonnes of cargo, which was an increase by 11.3 percent, y-o-y.
In December 2010 volumes were 1,079 tonnes, up 44.2 percent.
To position itself to a continued growth in cargo traffic, the airport has now taken delivery of a new hi-loader, Champ 70U, capable of lifting up to seven tonnes and manufactured by Germany's Trepel Airport Equipment Gmbh.
