Feb 14, 2011 (newstodate): The Boeing 747-400 freighter aircraft to start operations from Oslo to Hong Kong from February 18, 2011, by British Airways World Cargo may be replaced by a spectacular newcomer to the freighter world from later in 2011 already.
The BAWC aircraft is operated on a wet lease contract with the UK cargo carrier Global Supply Systems.
GSS operates three Boeing 747-400F aircraft due to be replaced with new Boeing 747-8F aircraft, with the first to be delivered this summer.
The three new aircraft will be operated by BAWC under a five-year contract, and the first Boeing 747-8F may be introduced on the Oslo-Hong Kong route before the end of this year.
