Feb 02, 2011(newstodate): The Lithuanian aviation training company Baltic Aviation Academy has expanded its capability list by adding Boeing 747-400 type rating courses.
Baltic Aviation Academy, based at Vilnius Airport, is the first approved type rating training organization in the Baltic region to start training program for Boeing 747 type of aircraft.
The ground training courses will be organized at Baltic Aviation Academy facilities in Vilnius, while flight training will be carried out on B747-400 Full Flight Simulator in Great Britain.
Finally, to include also practical flight training, the company has signed cooperation agreements with professional type rating instructors from Germany, Holland and Spain.
The first batch of students for Boeing 747-400 type rating is to start the training course in February 2011.
Baltic Aviation Academy already offers 34 training programs, including type rating training courses for Boeing 737 CL, Boeing 737 NG, Boeing 757, Boeing 767, Saab 340/2000, Airbus A320, ATR 42-72, Embraer 135/145, Bombardier CRJ 100/200, Bombardier CRJ 700/900 aircraft, and the initial pilot training school courses.
