Feb 24, 2011 (newstodate): In January, Armenia's Yerevan Zvartnots Airport saw cargo volumes unchanged against 2009.
A total of 434 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, compared to 414 tonnes in January 2010.
On the passenger side, statistics paint a brighter picture, with total volumes up 24 percent to 109,055 passengers including 52,270 arriving passengers, up 28 percent, and 56,785 departing passengers, up 21 percent, y-o-y.
Since 2001 Zvartnots International Airport is operated under a 30-year concession by Armenia International Airports, owned by Eduardo Eurnekian, Argentina.
