Dec 27, 2011 (newstodate): The group of investors behind the Swedish ACMI carrier TOR Air is working hard to secure the resumption of flight operations in 2012.
In December the Swedish aviation authority Transportstyrelsen revoked TOR Air's Operating License over doubts of the carrier's financial ability to meet obligations.
-TOR Air still has its AOC, and work by the existing financial partners is now progressing to carry through a reconstruction of TOR Air to win back the Operating License as soon as possible in 2012, says Torbjorn Winsell, Tor Air CEO.
The carrier, based at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, launched flights in December 2008 and has been operating one Airbus A320 and two Boeing 737 aircraft.
