Dec 20, 2011 (newstodate): The Swedish ACMI carrier TOR Air has had its operating license revoked by the Swedish aviation authority for alleged insufficient financial strength to meet its obligations.
The carrier has performed flights to Iraq for a Swedish tour operator, but suspended its operations on December 17, 2010, due to problems with permits from Iraq for operating into the country.
TOR Air, based at Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, received its AOC by the Swedish aviation authorities in December 2008, operating one Boeing 737-400 from the start, and now has also two Boeing 737-300 and one Airbus A320 in the fleet.
