Dec 19, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Ural Airlines, based at Yekaterinburg, is a staunch Airbus customer.
The carrier will take delivery of four new Airbus A320 Family aircraft in 2012, after adding one more A320 to its fleet by December 25, 2011.
In February and November 2012, the carrier will receive two more Airbus A320 Family aircraft under a lease agreement with the Bank of Scotland, and Ural Airlines has now also revealed plans for buying a further two by spring 2012.
The carrier plans to eventually operate about 30 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, with a fleet of 24-26 aircraft in 2012 and adding a further four in 2013.
Having thus completed its plans for short-haul aircraft, the carrier will next consider the acquisition of long-haul aircraft, with focus on the Airbus A330 aircraft.
Ural Airlines received its first Airbus A320 aircraft in June 2006.
