Dec 22, 2011 (newstodate): The Latvian carrier airBaltic is to increase frequency on its route to the EU capital, Brussels, from summer 2012.
airBaltic will increase to two daily rotations between Riga and Brussels against currently eight flights a week.
Effective from March 25, 2012, the carrier will thus operate 12 flights a week a morning and an evening flight on workdays and one flight a day on weekends, all in cooperation with Brussels Airlines and using Boeing 737 aircraft.
airBaltic started flights from Riga to Brussels from September 1, 2003, with three weekly rotations using AVRO RJ70 aircraft on the route adding the carrier's 14th destination served with direct flights.
