Dec 09, 2011 (newstodate): USA has signed an Open-Skies aviation agreement with Montenegro to liberalize air services between the two countries.
Under the Open Skies agreement, any airline of each country will be able to fly to, from and beyond the other's territory, without any restrictions on frequencies, types of aircraft or rates.
The new agreement is actually the first aviation agreement between the two countries civil aviation between the two countries, replacing the existing agreement that was negotiated between the USA and Yugoslavia.
No carriers are currently serving direct routes between the two countries, though.
