Dec 09, 2011 (newstodate): Thanks only to rising mail volumes, Latvia's Riga Airport saw a modest growth in cargo volumes in November 2011.
A total of 1,103 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at Riga Airport, an increase by 5.9 percent, y-o-y.
Totals included 601 tonnes of cargo, unchanged from last year, and 502 tonnes of mail, up 14 percent, y-o-y.
In January-November 2011, the airport handled 11,435 tonnes of cargo and mail, up 3.7 percent, y-o-y, including 6,750 tonnes of cargo, up 5.2 percent, and 4,685 tonnes of mail, up 1.5 percent, y-o-y.
