Dec 13, 2011 (newstodate): Icelandair Cargo is back in Halifax - but only as a stop en-route from New York to Iceland.
The twice-weekly call allows the carrier's Boeing 757-200F freighter to load up to 20 tonnes of seafood, primarily lobster, for the European market via Keflavik Airport from where onward distribution is performed on passenger and freighter aircraft to Scandinavian and European destinations.
Until 2008, Halifax was a destination on the carrier's freighter network.
