Dec 05, 2011 (newstodate): The latest attempt to sell the Serb carrier JAT through a tender has now failed.
The only party to acquire the tender materials, Latvia's Baltic Aviation Systems has reportedly pulled out, leaving the tender void.
The Serb government will now have to decide whether to pursue plans to set up a new JAT on the ruins of the existing carrier, or to restructure the existing carrier in an effort to keep it in the air.
A decision on this is expected before the end of this year as JAT is flying amidst a growing debts pile, close to bankruptcy.
