Dec 02, 2011 (newstodate): Kazakhstan's carrier Air Astana is to expand its fleet of Embraer aircraft in 2012.
The airline currently operates three Embraer 190 aircraft and will add another batch of three aircraft by May 2012.
On the other hand, the six Fokker 50 aircraft operated by Air Astana will go in 2012, leaving the carrier with a fleet of 10 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, two Boeing 767-300ER and four Boeing 757-200 aircraft.
In the books are orders for another five Airbus A319 aircraft also to be delivered in 2012.
