Dec 16, 2011 (newstodate): The Irish carrier Aer Lingus is returning to Sweden.
Last serving the Swedish capital Stockholm a decade ago, Aer Lingus plans to launch flights between Dublin and Stockholm Arlanda, offering four weekly rotations with Airbus A320 Family aircraft on the route from the summer 2012 schedule.
Also from the summer schedule, Aer Lingus will increase frequency on its route from Dublin to Helsinki, Finland, the only Nordic destination now on the route map and currently served with three weekly rotations.
The carrier also operated flights between Dublin and Copenhagen until summer 2008, but has not since aired any intentions of returning this service.
