Dec 06, 2011 (newstodate): Airbus has landed its first order from Russia/CIS for its latest Airbus A320 Family member, the A320neo.
New customer is Transaero that has firmed up the MoU for delivery of eight Airbus A320neo aircraft landed at the recent MAKS-2011 in Moscow.
Transaero Airlines is planning to operate the aircraft on its extended medium-haul network of domestic and international routes as part of its expansion strategy and fleet renewal program.
The order is even more spectacular in marking the entry by Airbus into the Transaero fleet that is otherwise comprising Boeing aircraft exclusively.
