Dec 16, 2011 (newstodate): Estonian Air is taking delivery of the last of three Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft ordered.
The aircraft will be taken over at the factory today, and will land at Tallinn Airport on December 16, 2011, entering commercial service on the route between Tallinn and Copenhagen from December 18, 2011.
The carrier is now negotiating other aircraft orders, aiming at operating a fleet of seven Next Generation aircraft from summer 2012.
In the carrier's fleet are now one Boeing 737-300 and one Boeing 737-500 aircraft that will be retired as the carrier moves towards a pure regional NG aircraft fleet allowing it to increase flight frequencies, open new destinations, and operate at least double daily services to main destinations in Europe.
Estonian Air currently operates flights to 25 destinations in CIS, Scandinavia and Europe, having recently announced new destinations for next summer, including Helsinki, Riga, Jyv�skyl�, Hanover, Vienna, Venice, Kokkola/Pietarsaari, Joensuu, Kajaani and Tbilisi.
