Nov 30, 2011 (newstodate): A white-tail Airbus A320 remains on the tarmac at Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport waiting for a new owner.
The aircraft is owned by Slovenia's Adria Airways and was in the process of being sold to an Iranian carrier, Yas Air.
The US government has, however, intervened in the deal and opposed the sale as part of the embargo against trading with Iran, considering the Iranian carrier just a cover for Pars Aviation Services Company that was blacklisted by the UN in June 2010.
Adria Airways has decided to divest itself of the Airbus A320-200 aircraft as part of its efforts to reduce a threatening debt burden.
