Nov 07, 2011 (newstodate): The launch of Sky Srpska, the planned new national airline of Republika Srpska in Bosnia Herzegovina, has been revised again and again. And again now...
Latest decision was to start operations in 2011 with Embraer ERJ 145XR and one 1 Embraer E-170LR, paid by state budgets, but this has again been pushed back, now aiming at a start in 2012.
Originally, Sky Srpska was to launch business at Banja Luka Airport already in 2009 with the first flights to Stuttgart.
Later, in 2010, Sky Srpska signed a MoU with Star Alliance-member airline Adria Airways to cooperate on the launch of services from summer 2011, but so far the carrier remains without aircraft, and no date has yet been announced for delivery of its first aircraft, nor for launch of operations.
