Nov 17, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian all-Airbus carrier Ural Airlines has taken delivery of its eight Airbus A321 aircraft.
Ural Airlines, based at Yekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport, plans to add a further two A321 aircraft, and aims at operating a fleet of about 30 Airbus aircraft when the full program for fleet development is completed.
In the airline's fleet now are 21 aircraft including 13 Airbus A320 and eight A321, and so far orders have been placed for a further four A320 Family aircraft.
Plans are also to add Airbus A330 aircraft from 2012, building up capacity for intercontinental flights. No such orders have yet placed, though.
The carrier earlier operates Soviet-built aircraft including the TU-154 that operated its last flight with the airline on October 16, 2011.
