Nov 09, 2011 (newstodate): Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsiya, has added a further two carriers to the list of airlines prohibited to operate into the EU.
The latest additions are Aviastar-TU and UTAir Cargo, joining VIM Avia, Dagestan Airlines, Yakutia Airlines, and Tatarstan Airlines earlier singled out.
The flight bans are considered to be temporary, pending the airlines' strengthening of safety procedures in accordance with EU regulations, in an effort to protect the airlines from being included in the coming revision of the EU Blacklist, expected within a few days.
