Nov 09, 2011 (newstodate): Norway's Oslo Gardermoen Airport saw its cargo volumes up by 10 percent, y-o-y, in October.
A total of 8,270 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, including 5,578 tonnes of international cargo and 2,692 tonnes of domestic cargo.
That was a growth in international cargo by 12.8 percent, y-o-y, and by 4.7 percent in domestic volumes.
In this year's first 10 months, the airport handled a total of 78,829 tonnes of cargo, an flat increase by one percent over 2010 when volumes dropped two percent to 85,739 tonnes over the full year.
Oslo Gardermoen Airport is thus still heading for a recovery in volumes after some years with negative growth figures - but still a far cry from the record in 2007 when the airport reached 97,000 tonnes.
