Nov 25, 2011 (newstodate): A new airline is under formation in Ukraine.
To be named Leopolis, or Krymskie Zori Airlines, the carrier will offer flights from its home base at Simferopol Airport, on the Crimean peninsula, to domestic destinations including Kiev, Odessa and Donetsk.
As the airport, the new carrier will be fully owned by the Crimean regional government, and plans are to acquire two SAAB 340 aircraft on a leasing contract.
The start-up date has been set for December 16, 2011, already.
