Nov 16, 2011 (newstodate): Under its new CEO, Martin Gauss, the Latvian carrier is now reviewing its business structure and performance, aiming at a turn-over of the carrier after a troubled period with a growing rift between airline and state.
- The passenger number has continued to grow even while airBaltic operated fewer flights in October compared to last year.
-As to the future, we are now very carefully evaluating potential development scenarios for airBaltic, in order to come up with a new strategic business plan in February, says Mr Gauss in a release.
As part of the challenges after finalizing the coming new strategy, the carrier will need to decide on the long-overdue acquisition of new aircraft to replenish the fleet.
