Nov 29, 2011 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ACMI carrier Small Planet Airlines will boost its presence in the Polish market in 2012.
The carrier based its first Airbus A320 aircraft in Poland to provide Polish tour operators Alfa Star and Triata with flights from Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk and Poznan to destinations in southern Europe during this year's summer program.
A new three-year contract has now been landed with Neckermann, a leading Polish travel agency, to operate flights from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary to Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain and Egypt resorts.
This will lead the carrier to add two more Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet in Poland that will become the carrier's single largest market.
Based at Vilnius Airport, Lithuania, the airline now operates a fleet of six Boeing 737-300 and two Airbus A320 type aircraft and performs flights from Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Italy, France and the UK.
