Nov 15, 2011 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is again to expand its activities at Bucharest, Romania.
The carrier will station a sixth Airbus A320 at its base at Bucharests Baneasa Airport from June next year.
The aircraft will open up for the launch of a new three times weekly route to Verona, as well as enable the increase of frequencies to existing destinations, including Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Catania, Cuneo, Dortmund, Forli, Madrid and Pisa.
Wizz Air currently serves 19 destinations from the airport, one of four bases in Romania - the others being Cluj, Timisoara and Tirgu Mures.
Wizz Air is already operating flights from Bucharest since June 2007, from Cluj from May 2008, from Timisoara since March 2009, and from Tirgu Mures Airport since March 2011.
