Nov 16, 2011 (newstodate): Fresh competition is coming to the Finnish aviation market as the Doha-based carrier Qatar Airways plans to launch a new service to Finland.
Flights between Doha and Helsinki will be launched in the next few months as part of the carrier´s schedule for 2012, with frequency and type of aircraft to be announced shortly.
The new flights to Helsinki will round off the airline´s Nordic coverage where Qatar Airways is already serving Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo with daily flights.
Also part of the airline´s plans for 2012 are new routes from Doha to Zagreb, in Croatia, as well as five other destinations in the Middle East and Africa.
