Nov 02, 2011 (newstodate): Aeroflot will soon take delivery of its third Superjet 100 aircraft.
The aircraft has passed Aeroflot's technical acceptance test and will be handed over to the carrier on November 7, 2011, entering commercial service soon thereafter.
Aeroflot introduced its first Superjet 100 in commercial service on June 16, 2011, adding the second aircraft on August 26, 2011.
According to the current plans, Sukhoi expects to have delivered a total of eight Superjet 100 aircraft to Aeroflot by the end of 2011.
Armavia was first to take delivery of the Superjet 100 on April 21, 2011, and a second aircraft is due for delivery to the carrier in 2012.
Aeroflot will end up with a fleet comprising 30 Superjet 100 aircraft, with options for a further 10 units.
