Nov 16,2011 (newstodate): CHAMP Cargosystems, provider of integrated air cargo solutions, has announced its acquisition of TRAXON Europe, provider of electronic communications solutions to the air cargo industry.
The deal, agreed between CHAMP, Lufthansa Cargo and Air France, the majority shareholders of TRAXON Europe, will generate synergy between the two companies, providing a strong, integrated portfolio of solutions that will accelerate initiatives such as e-freight, Cargo 2000 and global customs compliance.
By the move, Champ Cargosystems beat the Canadian company Descartes that is known to have been actively pursuing plans to take over Traxon Europe.
