Nov 03, 2011 (newstodate): November saw growth in cargo volumes returning to Estonia's Tallinn Airport.
A total of 2,140 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled at Tallinn Airport, an increase by 87.2 percent, y-o-y.
As usual, the main driver was cargo imports, totaling 1,888 tonnes and increasing by 113.6 percent, y-o-y, reflecting the return of ex-China shipments transiting via Tallinn Airport for onward trucking into Russia.
The airport's total cargo volumes in January-October 2011 were 14,889 tonnes, up 48.5 percent, y-o-y.
Of the 10-month total volume, cargo import constituted 59.4 percent, while mail imports accounted for 28.5 percent.
