Nov 02, 2011 (newstodate): The Belarus carrier Belavia plans to upgrade its aircraft fleet in 2012.
In the plans is the acquisition of two Embraer 175 aircraft, to be delivered in 2012 under a lease agreement, and the carrier is also considering the acquisition of an unspecified number of Embraer 190 aircraft in 2013.
The Embraer 175 aircraft will be delivered in September and October 2013, and the Embraer 190 will replace some of the currently five Boeing 737-500 aircraft in the fleet.
Belavia currently operates a fleet comprising 20 aircraft including also four Bombardier CRJ200 aircraft and three TU-154.
