Oct 27, 2011 (newstodate): The Russian carrier Transaero is presenting its winter schedule 2011/12 comprising a record-high number of routes including 24 new destinations.
Among the new destinations is Vilnius in Lithuania, to be served from Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
The exact start-up date and the frequency are still to be announced, but a spokesperson at Vilnius Airport confirms that the parties are in negotiations.
Also in the Baltic region, Transaero has been on-line in Latvia since October 31, 2010, offering three weekly flights between Riga Airport and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, using Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
